This bid solicitation is for a Firm Fixed Price Non-Personal Services Contract. The Federal Prison Camp in Alderson, West Virginia seeks to fill the position of a Medical Bookeeper for the Hospital Services Unit within the institution. The Medical Bookeeper will work directly with the medical staff at Federal Prison Camp, Alderson, West Virginia. Position duties will include but not limited to, entering medical financial data into computer withinthe health services department, review of all account payable invoices relating to the department for accuracy and appropriate billing, comparison of account payable invoices for appropriate discounts, composition of financial statistical data for reporting to regional and central offices of the Bureau of Prisons and the Health Services Administrator upon request, and preparation of computerized financial payment records for tracking and posting purposes. The prospective contractor must have a working knowledge of computers, word processors, and computer technology. There are to be five (5) sessions per week. Normal hours of work will be from 0730 through 1400, Monday through Friday. A session is determined to be six (6) hours in duration. This contractural position requires two hundred sixty (260) sessions for the contract period. The contract period is from date of award through September 30, 1996. This procurement is set aside for small business. The estimated date of availability of this solicitation is August 4, 1995.
