The Forest Service intends to contract for the removal and stockpiling of three (3) existing prefabricated bridges, furnishing and installing 50 foot and 70 foot prefabricated bridges with bridge railing and treated timber spread footings and backwalls, furnishing and installing bridge approach railing, and furnishing and installing a 72 inch x 50 foot corrugated metal pipe. Project is located on Forest Service Road No. 8502 which is a mainline road running south of Hoonah, Alaska. Hoonah is located on Chichagof Island in Southeast Alaska, approximately 35 air miles southwest of Juneau, Alaska and is accessible by the Alaska Marine Highway System and commuter airlines.
