Finn (703) 784-2976 PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE. This project is UNRESTRICTED. The Standard Industrial Code (SIC), for this project is 1629 - Heavy Construction, Except Dredging, N.E.C. The size standard is $17.0 Million. The work includes the removal of the existing 450,000 gallon heating fuel aboveground storage tank (AST) and replacing it with two (2) 125,000 gallon AST's. Provide piping and accessories to make service connections between the new AST's and the Central Heating Plant. Remediate soil and remove concrete that has been contaminated by past leakage from the 450,000 gallon AST. Demolish existing train trestle. Demolish existing tank truck fill stand in front of the heating plant. Provide plant cover, trees, and shrubbery at the top of the retaining walls enclosing the North Coal Yard. Renovate fuel unloading ramp. Upgrade the North Coal Yard's storm drainage system. Project includes any incidental work associated with this description. New tanks shall be fully operational before beginning demolition work on the A.S.T. The projected date of availability of the solicitation is 08 August 1995. The projected bid opening date is 07 September 1995.
