Work includes but is not limited to rerouting to the building exterior dryer vents which currently exhaust into adjacent garages. The work involves removing existing vent caps and routing approximately 17 linear feet of new ductwork from existing wall penetrations to new through-wall louvered vents at the front of 227 housing units. Work includes cutting, patching, sealants, fasteners, and disposal of debris. The estimated value of the work is between $25,000 and $100,000. The contract performance period shall be 130 calendar days. Government furnished materials will not be included. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) code is 1521. The solicitation is scheduled for issuance on or about 8 August 1995 under the Straddle Bid Program. This procurement is being considered for 100% Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB) concerns. Interested SDB concerns should contact the Fairchild AFB contracting office as soon as possible, but no later than 4 August 1995. Interested parties must include a positive statement of eligibility as an SDB concern, evidence of capacity to obtain bonds for a project of this magnitude, and information that demonstrates a capability to perform project of this complexity and magnitude.
