The purpose of this procurement is to provide a silencer assembly to be installed on the outlet of Valve 100 (a butterfly valve which regulates supply header pressure by venting process air to the atmosphere). Noise from the continuous discharge of up to 700 pounds mass per second of air at 800 degrees Fahrenheit must be attenuated to less than 98dBA. The silencer(s) must structurally withstand instantaneous mass flows up to 1750 pounds mass per second. Delivery to Arnold AS TN shall be within 220 days after contract award. Any responsible source may submit a proposal that will be considered. Firms responding to this synopsis should do so in writing within 15 days after this publication.
