66 -- MEASURING RUNWAY VELOCITY SOL N47408-95-B-2110 DUE 083195 POC Contract Specialist, LEONA PARKER, 805-982-9574 The Government intends to solicit, negotiate and award a contract for a Runway Friction Measurement Device System, (Mu-Meter Mark 5), with towing vehicle on a non-competitive basis to Bison Instruments, Inc., 5601 Rowland Road, Minneapolis, MN 55343-8956. Quantity is for two(2) each Runway Friction Measurement Device Systems with operation/maintenance manuals. The system plus towing vehicle shall be used for measuring runway skid resistance of payment surfaces at various speeds under wet and dry conditions. The system will have a self-watering system to distribute a known volume of water in front of two friction measuring wheels. The system will meet all applicable performance requirements of FAA Advisory Circular 150/5320-12B and ASTM E670-87. Item to be ordered under a Firm Fixed-Price type contract.
