70 -- ON SITE MAINTENANCE FOR COMPUTER EQUIPMENT AND SOFTWARE, FT. MCCLELLAN, AL SOL DABT60-95-T-0003 DUE 073195 POC Contract Specialist Patricia Paige (804) 878-4908 (Site Code DABT60) This is a notice of intent to negotiate on a sole source basis with Citation Computer systems for on-site maintenance service for computer equipment and software at Fort McClellan, AL. TYPES OF SERVICE REQUIRED. Type I - Telephone/Consulting Service. Type II - Hardware Replacement Service. Type III - Software Service. GOVERNMENT FURNISHED ITEMS/RESOURCES. The Government will provide system resources (personnel) necessary to use the Citation LIS repair diagnostic software. The Government will permit the Contractor access to the equipment for which they are to repair 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. In notifying the Contractor, the Government will identify any items requiring repair under the terms and conditions of the contract, to include equipment type, location, and point of contact. Government personnel will not perform repairs or attempt repairs to the defective equipment or software within the purview of this contract unless agreed to by the Contractor. SPECIFIC TASKS: The Contractor shall provide repairs (labor and/or parts) at the prices agreed to in this contract and keep equipment and software at a 98 percent effective performance operational rate. Repair service shall not include electrical work external to the equipment, the furnishing of supplies, other than those supplies necessary to effect required repairs, and adding or removing accessories, attachments, or other devices. Principal Period of Maintenance (PPM). The Contractor shall provide PPM twenty-four (24) hours a day, seven (7) days a week. The Contractor shall provide repairs as outlined in paragraph 1 after notification that the hardware or software is inoperative. The Contractor shall provide the Government with a designed point(s) of contact. Due to the fact that the Contractor personnel shall have access to personal-in-nature information, Contractor personnel may be subjected to a National Agency Check (NAC) to determine the trustworthiness of personnel. BASIS OF AWARD: Award will be made only after agreement has been reached on all terms and conditions and a fair market value for the supplies or services to be acquired. Refer to Federal Acquisition Regulation 52.215-16 Contract Award and 52.215-16 III Contract Award Alternate III. ANTICIPATE DATE OF AWARD 18 August 95. All responsible sources may submit a response. Request for proposal must state the vendor is not currently on the Consolidated List of Debarred, Suspended and Ineligible Contractor or otherwise ineligible to receive Government contracts.
