The Naval Sea Systems Command intends to award a Cost-Plus-Fixed-Fee Contract for an estimated 115,000 manhours of Design Agent Engineering and Technical Services associated with the operation and maintenance of the MK 13 and MK 22 Guided Missle Launching Sytstems (GMLS) for both the U.S. Navy and foreign fleets. United Defense, L.P., located in Minneapolis, MN is the design agent and sole manufacturer for the cited GMLS. They have maintained the technical expertise to design, manufacture, operate and troubleshoot (to the design level) any aspect of the GMLS. For the aforementioned reasons, the intended solicitaion package shall only be issued to United Defense, L.P., of Minneapolis, MN. The period of performance will be through 30 September 1996.
