The specialized vocabularies will encompass a variety of subjects in the field of medicine and surgery such as: general surgery, anesthesiology, vascular surgery, thoracic surgery, urology, otorhinolaryngology, plastic surgery, oral surgery, orthopedics, ophthalmology, gynecology, radiology, nuclear medicine, internal medicine, pulmonary medicine, gastroenterology, endocrinology, rheumatology, nephrology, oncology, hematology, geriatrics, psychiatry, neuology and ambulatory care. Material is dictated by many different physicians requiring adaptation of variations in accents, speech, tone, voice, volume, delivery, pronunciation and enunciation for the Dorn VA Hospital, Medical Administrative Services located in Columbia, South Carolina. The Contractor must have the capability of uploading of transcribing directly into this hospital's decentralized computer system. The Contractor must also have the capability of gaining access to the hospital's centralized dictation system for the purpose of retrieving medical dictation. Contractor will transcribe and return transcription utilizing the format stipulated by the VA Hospital within 24 hours. Bid packages will be available on or about 8/04/95. B.O.D. will be on or about 9/05/95. The period of the Contract is expected to begin on 10/1/95 through 9/30/96. This Solicitation is 100% set-aside for Small Businesses.
