Pending internal clearances, and in accordance with FAR 6.302.1, the Health Care Financing Administration (HCFA) intends to negotiate with the National Governors' Association a modification to an on-going contract, to research and analyze State Medicaid program policy activities for Federal Medicaid policy officials. The contractor will continue to provide policy data for the Federal Government and states to use in developing strategies to contain the costs of the Medicaid program and to inform states of specific successful or innovative cost containment practices of other states.
