Herting, 202/326-4160 The Office of the General Counsel (OGC) of the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC) plans to augment the technical requirements and services of the incumbent provider to acquire additional components, product customization and integration, training, and maintence/support services in connection with the incumbent's completion of the implementation of the Legal Management System (LMS) in OGC. This is a continuation of work already being undertaken by an existing provider within the framework of PBGC's IRM Blueprint. The provider has significant capabilities and knowledge gained from the implementing its beta test product and related technical assistance for the LMS in OGC. Moreover, the provider has an in depth understanding of OGC's overall LMS requirements and has adapted its product specifically to OGC's existing platform. It is PBGC's belief that in view of the provider's performance of the implementation of its beta test product and familiarity with OGC's operating environment, as well as its in depth understanding of OGC's overall requirements, that the provider is uniquely qualified to perform the additional services to complete implementation of an LMS in OGC without interruption of OGC's daily business operations or delay in the scheduled September 30, 1995 completion of core segment LMS implementation in OGC. PBGC intends to award a contract including a base period (from date of award through September 30, 1995) and two one-year options for renewal at PBGC's discretion. See Note 22 (0200)
