Construction of Precision Approach Path Indicator (PAPI) Systems,
Various Locations.--Work includes, but is not limited to the
installation 3 PAPI systemsat Titusville, Florida and Birmingham,
Alabama consisting of four each lamp housing assemblies, power and
control and RMS cabinets, air-to-ground and ground-to-ground radio
control equipment at the power and control stations, meter rack,
concrete foundations, cable installation, electrical work,
miscellaneous items, instllation of a PAPI system at New Port Richey,
Florida consisting of four lamp housing assemblies, power and control
station, installation of the RMS equipment at the airport operations
building, meter rack, installation of steel casing under the runway and
taxiway, concrete foundations, cable installation, electrical work,
miscellaneous items, and otherwork to provide a complete and operable
PAPI system.--Estimated price range $100,000.00-$250,000.00.--Estimated
performance time is 110 calendar days.--All responsible sources may
submit a bid which shall be considered.--NOTE: This Notice is for
informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and
DisadvantagedBusiness Enterprises: The Department of Transportation
(DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU),
has programs to assist minority,women-owned and disadvantaged business
enterprises to acquire short-term workingcapital and bonding assistance
for transportation-related contracts. This is applicable to any
eligible prime or subcontract at any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance
Program enables firms to apply for bid, payment, and performance bonds
up to $1.0 millon per contract. The DOT provides and 80 percent
guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses. Loans are also
available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime
interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum
line of credit is $500,000.00. For futher information regarding bonding
