Contractor is to provide all plant, labor, materials, tools, equipment, supplies and performance of all opeations necessary to install new heat detectors, backboxes, conduit, wiring, etc., as required to mount and connect new heat detectors to existing fire alarm and Aqueous Film-Forming Foam (AFFF) control panels, remove existing heat detectors, conduit and wiring complete back to source, provide new AFFF pull stations, mounting wiring and conduit to existing fire alarm and AFFF control panels, and all other miscellaneous work as necessary to complete the project in Hangars 1106 and 1176 at McConel AFB, KS. Magnitude of construction is between $100,000 and $250,000. Anticipated issuance date for IFB Solicitation Number F14614 95 B0037 is 22 Aug 95. Tentative opening date is 21 Sep 95. Performance period will be 120 caledar days after receipt of the notice to proceed. Standard Industrial Classifications Code is 1799. This action is being considered for 100% set-aside for Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB) concerns. Interested SDB concerns should notify our office, in writing, of their intention to bid on the project as a prime contractor as early as possible, but not later than 15 days from the date of this notice. This notification must include a positive statement of eligibility as a small socially and economically disadvantaged business concern, evidence of capacity to obtain requried bonds, and specific information which demonstrates the capability to perform projects of this complexity and magnitude. Complete information concerning management experience in similar work and financial status should be submitted with references. If adequate interest is not received from SDB concerns, the solicitation will be issued on an unrestricted basis without further notice. Therefore, replies to this office are still requested from all interested business concerns as well as from Small Disadvantaged Business concerns. Project requirements will be made available o/a 22 Aug 95. No telephone requests for bid sets will be honored. All requests for bid sets must be in writing.
