Furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and insurance to perform all operations necessary to: (1) Remove and dispose of the existing buried 1,000 gallon diesel oil storage tank (TK-123) and piping at nineteen Millile Alert Facilities (MAFs) garages. Tanks and piping must be disposed of as hazardous waste as both are coated with PCB containing covering. (2) Remove the existing oil fired 75,000 BTUH forced air furnace at each garage. (3) Provide and Install at each location an above ground 1,000 gallon concrete encapsulated storage tank and a new oil fired 85,000 BTUH forced air furnace. The performance period for Firm Fixed Price constructon contract awarded as a result of this solicitation will be 200 days. Invitation for Bid (IFB) is limited and will be furnished to the requester on a first received first served basis until supply is exhausted. Telephone requests will not be honored. The issue date will be on or about 18 August 95 with bid opening date 30 days after issuance. The magnitude of this project is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. This action is being considered for 100% set-aside for Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB) concerns. Interested SDB concerns should notify our office, in writing, of their intention to bid on the project as a prime contractor as early as possible, but no later than 12 August 95. This notification must include a positive statement of eligibility as a small, socially and economically disadvantaged business concern, evidence of capacity to obtain required bonds, and specifc information which demonstrates the capability and experience to perform projects of this nature, complexity and magnitude. Complete information concerning management experience in similar work and financial status should be submitted with references. If adequate interest is not received from SDB concerns, the solicitation will be issued on an unrestricted basis without further notice.
