66 -- MICRO ELECTRO MECHANICAL SENSOR POC NASA Langley Research Center, Industry Assistance Office, Mailstop 144, Hampton, VA 23681-0001. Through the Autonomous Dynamics Determination (ADD) Program, the NASA Langley Research Center is planning the development of an advanced technology, MEMS (micro electro-mechanical sensor) based, distributed processing, remote dynamics sensor. The sensor will be suitable for low cost/risk integration on spacecraft with minimal data, power, weight, and volume impacts. The sensor will be self powered, have wireless data transmission capability, and have data processing capability. In support of the ADD Program, LaRC is soliciting contractor response in the following areas: 1) Contractors interested in forming a government/industry partnership for the development of autonomous sensors suitable for space and commercial applications. 2) Suppliers of accelerometers suitable for on-orbit spacecraft structural dynamics measurements. The spacecraft dynamics range of interest is typically from 1 x 10-6 to 3 x 10-3 g's in a frequency range from 0.1 to 100 hz. 3) Contractors interested in the development of algorithms necessary for the data processing internal to the autonomous sensor. Contractors may participate in any or all of the above areas. Firms having the required specialized capabilities to meet the above requirements should submit appropriate documentation, literature, brochures, and references to demonstrate and support that they have the necessary experience and resources to successfully accomplish the described effort. Respondents deemed fully qualified will be considered in any resultant solicitation.
