The United States Army Information Systems Command intends to negotiate on a sole source basis for the acquisition of upgrades and components to the Trace Floppy Diskette Duplication System, Series 300, to include one year on-site maintenance and installation, with Trace Mountain System, Incorporated. It is the government's belief that Trace Mountain System, Incorporated is the only known vendor with the requisite capability to meet the critical minimum requirements of the government. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities to this requirement by submitting technical and pricing data within 15 calendar days from the publication date of this synopsis. Information received as a result of this notice of intent will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the government not to open the requirement for competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. The government will not pay for information received. This solicitation will be issued on or about 7 August 1995. Telephone requests for solicitation will not be accepted.
