The Library of Congress has a requirement for the processing and cataloging of a backlog of Braille and Cassette Titles in the Special Foreign Library Collection. The work requires staff with a knowledge of and experience with bibliographic databases and the MARC format; a working knowledge of a wide variety of foreign languages, including European, Middle-Eastern and Asian languages; and the ability to sight read or read by touch in the foreign languages sufficient to transcribe bibliographic information. All work shall be performed on site at the Library's National Library Services for the Blind and Physically Handicapped at 1291 Taylor Street, NW, Washington, DC 20542.
