Offeror shall provide a staff that is experienced in revising, administering, and instructing short courses of instruction. The contractor shall provide two instructors at each class session. Course locations are Memphis, TN with the following dates: 2-5 Apr 96, 16-19 Apr 96, 7-10 May 96, 21-24 May 96, 19-22 Mar 96 and 25-28 Mar 96. This will be a firm fixed price contract with options for FY97 and FY98. FY97 dates are as follows: 8-11 Oct 96, 2-4 Apr 97, 7-10 Apr 97, and 6-9 May 97. FY98 dates are 7-10 Oct 97, 31 Mar - 3 Apr 98, 6-9 Apr 98, and 5-8 May 98. Course length is 32 hours. This course provides participants with fundamental knowledge of the various types of cranes used in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the potential hazards of each, and the requirements for their inspection, operation and maintenance, and safe operation. Each instructor must have at least 10 years experience in the design, construction, operation, or maintenance of hydraulic and/or lattice boom cranes. Other technical evaluation criteria will be set forth in the solicitation scheduled to be issued on or about 16 Aug 95. Copies of the solicitation shall be obtained by written request without cost. Telephonic requests will not be honored. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. This is a 100 percent small business set-aside. The Standard Industrial Code applicable to this procurement is 8999. For the purpose of this solicitation, any concern whose gross annual receipts over the past 3 years does not exceed an average of $5,000,000 is considered a small business.
