Public warehousing contractor experiences with pick and pack
Operations to operate a facility in the Ohio territory which includes
the state of Ohio, the Eastern half of Indiana, and the greater
metropolitan area of Detroit, MI. Currently the GSA Great lakes region
provides desk top delivery of office supply products to civilian and
Department of Defense customer in the States of Illinois, Indiana,
Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, wisconsion and the metropolitan area
of St. Louis, Missouri from its customer Supply Center (csc) in Worth,
IL. The csc currently stocks approximately 1,110 routine office
products which we identify as national Stock Numbers (NSN) in lieu of
Stock keeping units (sku'S). Orders are consolidated and shipments made
by Government Bill of lading (GBL) commom Carrier, United States postal
service (usps), and a small package Carrier-currently UPS. The
contractor shall be capable of providing all small package Carrier
shipments to UPS in sufficient time at Day'S end to meet the UPS sort
which will allow delivery within the Ohio territory the following Day.
GBL and usps order must be shipped by the next business Day after the
order is received. Contractor shall furnish all space, labor,
equipment and supplies (except as otherwisenoted) to meet requirements.
Therefore, we will be conducting a presolicitation conference to
request preliminary information regarding services and to
explainrequirements. The conference will be conducted on August 2,
1995, at 1:00 PM local time at the radisson airport hotel, 1375 north
cassady Avenue, Columbus, OH 43219, deshler rooms 2, 3 and 4. To assist
US in tailoring this conference towards your specific needs also,
please submit any questions or concerns that you would like to discuss
regarding the Solicitation. Questions must be received by Close of
business July 31, 1995 to the contact indicated above and may be
submitted via facsimile at 312/886-9467. A draft copy of Solicitation
will be available O/a July 21, 1995. Proposed period of contract will
be January 1, 1996 through December 31, 1996 with options to extend the
term of the contract for an additional four years. All responsible
sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the
