The work will include the following: (Approx. quantities) New Work Includes: A two story administrative office building comprised of approximately 68,300 GSF. The complex will have various offices, conference rooms, and computer rooms. Construction materials include CMU bearing walls with 4'' face brick, cast stone trim, slab on grade first floor, precast concrete second floor, steel frame roof, standing seam metal roofing, aluminum windows, gypsum board interior partitions, wood interior doors and frames, acoustical tile ceilings, VAV HVAC system, sprinkler fire protection, plumbing, and fluorescent lighting. Site Work Includes: eleven (11) acres of clearing and grubbing, 8,000 CY of cut, 11,000 CY of fill, 800 LF of sanitary sewer, 1,500 LF of storm sewer, 200 LF of water main, 150 LF of gas main, 750 LF of 1,500 KVA electrical feed, 1,500 KVA transformer, 2,000 A/480V switchboard, 10,700 SY of bituminous pavement, seeding, sod, and landscape planting. Demolition Work (remote sites) Includes: six (6) existing two story wood frame buildings comprising 83,000 GSF. The estimated construction cost of this project is between $10,000,000 and $15,000,000. Contractor's Quality Control will be a requirement in this contract. The Contractor will be required to commence work within 10 days after notice to proceed and complete the work 540 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. Provisions will be included for liquidated damages in case of failure to complete the work in the time allowed. Performance and payment bonds will be required. Bid sets will be available on/a August 10, 1995. Half-size plans and specifications will be furnished upon request. All requests for solicitation packages should be made in writing no later than 14 days prior to bid opening. After such time, packages will be furnished if supply is available. It has been determined that the number of sets be limited to 1 (one) per firm (additional copies will be the responsibility of the requestor).
