The project consists of furnishing manpower, labor, equipment, materials, supplies, and supervision required to Expand the East Loading Dock at the Processing and Distribution Center (P & D Center), 1400 West Jordan Street, Pensacola, Florida 32501-9701. The loading dock expansion is located on the east side of the existing Postal facility. The Scope of Work will include three general areas of work: (1.) Provide card access security system, (2.) Expand/renovate the existing Bulk Mail Acceptance Room, and (3.) Enlarge the existing loading dock area including temporary dock. The Loading Dock Expansion is as follows: Extend the existing dock 15' east of its present location. Provide a new concrete footing and retaining wall along length of loading dock. Construct a 14'' thick masonry enclosure wall as described in Scheme #1. Provide wall openings with overhead sectional doors, dock levelers or scissors lift, and compressible dock seals. The existing roof fascia shall be extended 15' east of its present location so that its face is flush with the face of the new loading dock. The existing concrete fascia panels shall be removed and retained for reinstallation at the new location. The roof extension shall be constructed of structural metal deck with rigid insulation and build up roofing to match the existing roof.
