The maximum number of engines to be reworked under this extension is six. This extension is sole source to the manufacturer, AlliedSignal Engines, Phoenix, Arizona, and will allow for continuity of servics pending award of a follow-on contract. AlliedSignal Engines retains proprietary rights to the data which the Coast Guard does not possess and cannot supply.
