limited to the following: DEMOLITION: 1) Remove 43 - 2'x4' flourescent
fixtures, controls, wire and conduit back to the power panels. 2)
Remove 3120 Sq. Ft. of Lay-in ceiling tile(s). (existing channel
support system for ceiling tile will remain). NEW: 1) Install 25 cable
suspended, 8 ft Indirect flourescent fixtures, fixture supports,
controls, and wire/conduit 2) Install 3120 Sq. Ft. of new ceiling
tile(s) in existing channel support system. The estimated price range
of this project is under $50,000. This requirement will be filled by
written RFQ. Award is anticipated mid-December 1995. This PROCUREMENT

Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged
Business Utilization (OSDBU), has programs to assist 1111rity,
women-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire
short-term working capital and bonding assistance for
transportation-related contracts. This is applicable to any eligible
prime or subcontract at any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program
enables firms to apply for bid, performance and payment bonds up to
$1.0 million per contract. The DOT provides an 80% guaranty on the bond
amount to surety against losses. Loans are also available under the DOT
Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide
accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000.
