The Communications Product Group of the Air Force Material Command (AFMC), Electronic Systems Center (ESC), is seeking sources for the integration and fielding of suites of ground-to-ground communications equipment for deployed Air Force operations. The Theater Deployable Communications (TDC) Integrated Communications Access Packages (ICAP) will consist of telephones, local area networks, voice switches, data routers, multiplexers, intrabase transmission, and ancillary support/packaging equipment. Approximately 140 Air Force units require deployable communications support. Equipment configurations and quantities fielded at any given unit will vary, depending on size of the unit, operational mission supported, and availability of existing inventory equipment. The details of the acquisition strategy have not been finalized, but the Government anticipates awarding a five-year (minimum) production contract, with the ability to place multiple orders within a single contract year. The Government is seeking qualification packages from firms interested in providing the above mentioned items. Interested parties should submit qualification packages within 30 days of this announcement. To be considered qualified, potential offerors must submit evidence of the following: (1) demonstrated experience in the integration and fielding of large military or commercial communications systems, (2) familiarity with military communications systems and the interoperability requirements thereof, and (3) the technical, production, managerial, and financial capabilities to perform this effort. Firms should indicate whether they are a large or small business (the Small Business Administration's Standard Industrial Code 3669 ''Other Communications Equipment, N.E.C.'' applies, size standard is 750 employees) and if they qualify as a socially or economically disadvantaged or women-owned business.
