61 -- AUTOMATIC GENERATION CONTROL (AGC) SYSTEM POC Patricia Baquero, Contract Specialist, (507) 272-3643 The Panama Canal Commission seeks sources to purchase an AGC system to control frequency, generation, and/or net interchange in the Commission's electric power system. System may be independent from, or integrated with Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system, and shall consist of AGC system (to replace very old Leeds+Northrup analog computer), chart recorders, communications sub-system, MW transducers, and numeric display sub-system. If SCADA integrated, project includes (i) upgrading existing Landis & Gyr Telegyr 6800 Master Station, or (ii) replacing it with open system architecture, Energy Management System (EMS) type SCADA Master Station capable of emulating Landis & Gyr's Telegyr 6500 protocol for communication to existing Remote Terminal Units (RTUs). If SCADA independent, (i) AGC controller shall be personal computer, Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) or workstation based, (ii) communications sub-system shall be analog (tone telemetry) or digital (SCADA type), and (iii) numeric display sub-system shall be personal computer, panel meter or workstation based.
