69 -- RETROFIT EXISTING M31A1 INFANTRY TARGET MECHANISM (ITM) Sol DAHA22-95-R-0006. Due 091095. POC Maj Bobby C. Thornton, (601) 936-7502. Upgrade of Small Arms Ranges at Camp Shelby and Camp McCain, Mississippi. Intent of this project is to retrofit existing M31A1 Infantry Target Mechanism (ITM's) in order to provide a computer operated and scored target capability utilizing existing power cables. A total of 294 target mechanisms will be retrofit target upgrdes if funding and environmental approval is obtained. The retrofit kit for the M31A1 target will have a target control module which shall be a drop in, solid state, device designed to replace the existing relays and internal components. The system must provide local intelligent control of each target mechanism. Equipment to be provided under this contract shall include, as a minimum, a computer, printer, and uninterruptable power supply for each of the 3 Ranges with appropriate interface devices at each range to allow the computer to communicate with the targets. This procurement is 100% Small Business Set-Aside. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code for the procurement is 3949.
