Notice of Contract Action. Request for Proposal F41624-95-R-5023 for research and development in support of the Logistics Research Division of Armstong Laboratory (AL/HRG), Wright-Patterson AFB, OH. This effort consists of a requirements analysis of the Air Force's and sister services; deployment planning and execution process. The LOG-AID project's objective is to improve the Air Force's ability to deploy by investigation innovative processes and technologies that will improve wing level deployment planning and execution, reduce mobility footprint, reduce deployment response time, and use mobility resources more effectively and efficiently (reference Sources Sought Synopsis PKRH 95-09, published 25 May 95). A conventional solicitation will not be issued but will appear in a subsequent edition of the Commerce Business Daily (a minimum of 15 days from this announcement). Solicitation and contract award will be in accordance with the Research and Development Streamline Contracting Procedures referenced at DFARS 235-7000. A Supplemental package, containing the Statement of Work (SOW), Data, DD Form 254, and a copy of DFARS 235-7000 will be issued the same day the solicitation appears in the CBD to those firms on the source list. This acquisition is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside. The source list is made up of all firms responding in writing to this notice and those small businesses who responded to the sources sought announcement. The SIC code for this acquisition is 8731. A preproposal conference will not be held, so all potential offerors are strongly encouraged to contact the technical manager, Capt Zeck at 513-255-2606 and/or the contract negotiator, Jay Carroll for technical or contractual questions. Questions (verbal or written) regarding any aspect of the Draft SOW (a copy was released after the sources sought synopsis) or contracting procedures may be asked.
