Z -- TB ISOLATION ROOMS SOL 663-41-95 DUE 091495 POC Contracting Officer, Raymond Tomori, (206)764-2236 Project 663-95-105, Renovate TB Isolation Rooms, provide all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, facilities and supervision necessary to renovate a total of 25 patient bedrooms, treatment rooms, waiting/check-in areas and laboratories for negative TB isolation. These rooms are located in 14 distinct areas of the Seattle VA Medical Center Building 100: Ambulatory Care, MAS, Dental, Audiology, Radiology, Medical Nursing Unit, SICU, Telemitry Unit, MED/Neuro Nursing Unit and Microbiology. A total of 4 new dedicated exhaust fans are to be installed and placed on emergency power. All patient rooms are to be equipped with a negative pressure monitoring system and other rooms will be equipped with a mechanical negative pressure indicating device. Architectural changes include the addition of a sliding door in Radiology and the addition of several vision panels and door seals. Additional work includes new constant volume terminal units, modification of existing terminal units, new and relocated air inlets and outlets, additon to the DDC system and replacement of one AHU supply fan motor. Phasing of the work will be required. All work will be in strict compliance with the drawings and specifications and all applicable codes including the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Guidelines for Preventing the Transmission of Mycobacterium Tuberculosis in Health Care Facilities, 1994. Estimated cost range of this project is between $250,000 and $500,000. This solicitation will be issued on unrestricted basis under the provisions of P.L. 100-656 Small Business Demonstration Program without further notice. Replies to this notice are requested from all business concerns as well as from SDB concerns. Issue date will be on or about 16 AUG 1995. Only written requests for solicitation package will be honored and must include a deposit of $50.00. Deposits will be returned upon receipt of the complete package by the issuing office.
