Scope of work: The work consists of providing all labor, material, equipment and services necessary for a 50,600 square foot expansion to the existng general mail facility. The addition includes an expansion of the existing work area, new toilet facilities, a new caller box area and an extension of the existing interior loading dock area. A partial mezzanine is included to house mechanical equipment. The building is comprised of a steel structure, and insulated modified bitumen membrane roof system on a steel dick, concrete masonry unit walls and an insulated metal panel on steel framing all system. Mechanical and electrical work includes HVAC, plumbing, stormwater, lighting, power distribution, smoke exhaust fans, a sprinkler system and life safety systems. Also included is a compressed air distribution system. The project also entails relocation of an existing 4,000 square foot storage building. Site work includes new paving, striping, fencing, a new storm water management facility, site lighting and other miscellaneous items. A preproposal conference is scheduled on August 15, 1995 at 9:30 AM in the Wilmington P & DC, 2nd Floor Conference Room, 147 Quigley Boulevard. The estimated price range is between $3,200,000.00 and $4,200,000.00 with completion required within 240 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed.
