Contractor will be responsible for demolition, alterations, asbestos abatement, tuckpointing, brick rebuilding, painting, parapet membrane flashing, metal cap coping, reroofing, mechanical and electrical work, and other such work needed or required to complete work in accordance with specifications and drawings. Work shall be performed in accordance with all Dept. of Veterans Affairs Medical Centers codes, standards, rules, regulations and other specified requirements. Work shall be completed within 180 calendar days of the date of the receipt of Notice to Proceed. The standard industrial classification code is 1542. Size standard is $17.0 million. Estimated cost range is between $100,000 and $250,000. Solicitation package will be available o/a August 16,l995. Bidders are invited to attend a pre-bid conference to be held o/a August 31, l995 at the Dept. of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Delafield Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15215. Bids will be publicly opened o/a September 17, l995 at the Dept. of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, 7180 Highland Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15206-1297.
