The project consists of furnishing manpower, materials, equipment, and supervision necessary to perform the Workroom Lighting Upgrade project. The work consists of removing the existing light fixtures and replacing them with new HID type fixtures. Mail processing will continue without interruption during this contract work. The daily mail processing period is from approximately 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 A.M. the following morning. Thus the ''working period'' for this work is 8:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. The work must be phased and staged so that either the existing fixtures, temporary fixtures, or new fixtures will provide adequate workroom lighting so that mail processing operations can continue. During the ''working period'' the Postal carriers will be active in their area. The cases where they work have supplemental lighting which must be maintained. The work is to be performed at the Processing and Distribution Center, 5815 Walden Road, Beaumont, Texas 77707-9998, in accordance with plans and specifications.
