Eglin AFB, FL has a project to Repair Wastewater Pump Station, Building 10355, Eglin AFB, FL. PRESOLICITATION NOTICE has been issued. Bid opening date of 14 Sep 95 is only an estimated date. In general, the work will consist of upgrading the existing wastewater pumping station at Building 10355 in the Eglin main base housing area. This includes replacing all of the existing piping in the station and replacing the existing pumps with new centrifugal pumps. The work is to include new sonar-type level controls for on-off control of the pumps. All existing equipment and systems which are being replaced are to be removed from the facility. The work will also include minor building type renovations, such as replacing the entry door and frame, replacing the interior lighting, providing a powered outside air supply into the dry well, removing steel plates used for old pump mounting, and repairing abandoned holes in the floor. Complete shutdown will be necessary. After all work is complete, and prior to returning the system to the Government, the contractor shall conduct training on the operation and maintenance of the system.. Estimated range is between $100,000 and $250,000. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the agency.
