The US Army ARDEC Picatinny Arsenal intends to acquire under the authority of 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source, a production and integration effort for the M87A1 VOLCANO Canister Assembly. This requirement is for additional work under a current contractual option for an estimated quantity of 8500 units. The Government intends to utilize Alliant Techsystems Inc. located in Hopkins, MN in a modification to the existing contract. The new effort is expected to be awarded in FY96. See Numbered Note 22.
