The Monongahela National Forest anticipates contracting for a tandem truck-mounted crane to be utilized in cable logging. The requirements for the carrier include approximately 20 Ton, dual wheels, hydraulic out-riggers, and a cab with heating and air conditioning. The requirements for the crane include: 8 - 10 Ton, 20 - 25 Foot Boom, 360 degrees of operation, 2 drum variable speed wench, free spool out, a minimum of 600 feet of 1/2-inch cable, a diesel power unit with 40 or more horse power and a pulling capacity of 12,000 pounds. Delivery will be made to USDA, Forest Service, Timber & Watershed Lab in Parsons, Tucker County, West Virginia. Delivery will be required within 90 calendar days after receipt of the order.
