Transmitting Coaxial Switching System and Coaxial Matrix Switch
Controllers. Physical/Electrical Requirements: Operating Temperature:
0 - 40 Degrees C; Operating Humidity: 0 - 95 percent non-condensing;
Primary Power: 120 VAC +/- 10 percent, 50/60 Hz +/- 5 percent Single
Phase; Frequency Range: DC to 32 MHz; Impedance: 50 Ohm Coaxial;
Insertion VSWR: 1.10 Maximum; Insertion Loss: .3 dB Maximum for the
proposed switch; Power Rating @ 32 MHz: 30 KW average, 100 KW PEP @
unity VSWR; Cross Channel Isolation: 70 dB Minimum @ 32 MHz; RF
Terminations: 1-5/8'' EIA Male Flange; Switch Activation Time: (.7 sec.
after enable command; Leakage Current: NTE 5 Milliamperes; Cross Point
antenna grounding capability; Cross Point Keyed Lockout System; Weight
(Maximum): Not greater than 400 lbs. per sq. ft. (Maximum)
displacement. Installation of the matrix switch and controllers at U.
S. Coast Guard Communications Station, Chesapeake, VA is required.
Space in the control room where the matrix system will be installed is
limited. Operator physical access to all switches shall be from the
front of the matrix for quick and easy operator access during a power
loss at the matrix. Equipment offered must be capable of accepting
command control information from a Coast Guard Standard Workstation
(CGSW) computer running Coast Guard developed antenna matrix control
software. Copies of the control software will be available to
interested sources. The Coast Guard will not lend or let be used Coast
Guard CTOS/BTOS equipment for purposes of verification. The Coast
Guard will not purchase or accept billing of computer equipment as part
of offer. Sources that responded to the previous sources sought notice
and notice of intent synopsis dated April 6, 1994 and May 31, 1994
respectively, need not respond again. A copy of the solicitation will
be provided. Other sources interested must submit their written request
