The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division has a need to acquire 11,995 additional effort (man-hours) of support services under Navy Contract N00167-92-D-0001. A continuation of support services under subject contract is required in specialized scientific and technical effort in the field of advanced research and development (R&D) of specialized materials, processing hardware, and installation technology for the new SSN (NSSN) submarine program, the SSN-21 (SEAWOLF), and other classified programs. Negotiations are anticipated to be conducted with Tracor Applied Sciences, Inc, 6500 Tracor Lane, Austin Texas 78725. CBD numbered Note 22 applies to the extent that the proposed action is for support services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302.
