C -- RENOVATE AMBULATORY CARE SOL RFP 504-95-13 DUE 081695 POC Contact Point, Margie Nation, (806)354-7841 A/E services to provide labor and materials to design ''Renovate Ambulatory Care'' project at the VA Medical Center, 6010 Amarillo Blvd. West, Amarillo, TX 79106. Review all outpatient activities including primary care, life support, specialty clinics, outpatient diagnostic activities, medical records, and outpatient administrative activities. Review includes ground floor, Bldg. 28, and outpatient activities currently spread throughout the Medical Center including EEG, EKG, Pulmonary Function, Surgical Clinics, Cardiac Rehab, and Rehab. Medicine. Provide redesign of the existing outpatient area, waiting area, file room, etc. to provide new space and remodel space to meet the requirements of an effective outpatient area that meets the goals of customer service and worker efficiency. The design should consider primary care/managed care concepts and provide phased construction to allow existing medical care to be conducted with minimal impact during the construction. New and renovated space will not exceed 10,000 square feet and include alternatives for the highest priority work. A/E is to provide all contract drawings on 30'' x 42'' .003 mylar and furnish AutoCAD compatible disks. Must provide design calculations for all work. (Include sofware necessary to interpret calculations.) Preliminary, 50%, 90%, and 100% design submissions are required. Estimated cost of construction is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00. Design will begin from floor plans to be provided by the VA Medical Center. Estimated start date is October 1, 1995. Total contract completion time shall be 180 days.
