material, equipment, transportation, mobilization, and demobilization
for the rehabilitation of an approximately 21,875 square foot building
containing retail, office, and warehouse spaces. Therehabilitation
shall consist of a seismic retrofit of the existing unreinforced
masonry walls and steel framing systems. It will also require the
addition of a plywood roof diaphragm and the reinstallation of the
removed roofing system and roof drains. Portions of the existing
reinforced concrete grade beams will be strengthened. The HVAC,
electrical, fire alarm, and telephone systems will be rehabilitated. A
new fire sprinkler system will be provided. The interior spaces will
be modified with newpartitions, suspended acoustic ceiling, plumbing
fixtures, and lights. Exterior work will consist of replacing or
refurbishing windows, installation of concrete ramps and stairs, and
demolishing an existing concrete loading ramp. The interior of
twoadditional buildings will be modified to accommodate the tenants of
Building 22 during construction. The modifications will consist
primarily of the installation of interior partitions or fencing and
providing temporary power, water, and ventilation.The contents of
Building 22 will have to be moved to these buildings by the contractor
prior to construction and returned after the rehabilitation is
complete. -- Estimated price range is $1,000,000 - $5,000,000. -- SIC
