The George Washington and Jefferson National Forests anticipate contracting for the construction and reconstruction of Bear Pie F.D.R. 6013 on the Warm Springs Ranger District, Highland County, Virginia. The Base Bid is approximately 1.28 miles in length and work consists of composite road construction, crushed aggregate surfacing, and installation of corrugated steel pipe. The Add Alternate is approximately .40 miles in length and work consists of composite road construction and crushed aggregate surfacing. The contract time for the Base Bid is 90 calendar days and 40 calendar days for the Add Alternate. The price range is between $25,000 and $100,000. Simplified Acquisition Techniques will be utilized, therefore, no Bid Bond will be required. This project will be awarded under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Project. (206)
