CONTRACT FOR THE PITTSBURGH DISTRICT AREA. SOL 232098-95-A-0283 DUE

(410) 997-6203. The United States Postal Service, Facilities Service
Office, Columbia, Maryland 21045-0701, will issue Solicitation
#232098-95-A-0283 on July 24, 1995 for indefinite quantity contract for
general construction (repair and alterations) in the Pittsburgh
District Area. The work for this project shall include, but not be
limited to, general construction, repair and alterations and other
related services at various leased and U.S. Postal Service-owned
facilities located in the Pittsburgh District Area (Allegheny,
Armstrong, Beaver, Brooke, Fayette, Greene, Hancock, Indiana, Marshall,
Ohio, Somerset, Washington, Westmoreland, and Wetzel). The work to be
performed under this contract is to be coordinated through the
work-order process. At the discretion of the Contracting Officer, one
or more contracts may be awarded. Contractors must have a minimum of
five (5) years experience as of the date of issue in general
construction work. Contractors must also possess the capabilities of
working at least four (4) jobs at the same time. Specific work order(s)
will be issued by the Contracting Officer in accordance with the Unit
Price Schedule and Specifications. Work Orders will be issued totaling
not more than $250,000.00 during the two (2) year period of the
contract. The initial limit of $250,000.00 may be increased by
modification as agreed upon by the Contractor and the Contracting
Officer up to a maximum of $1,000,000.00. The Postal Service guarantees
no specific number of work orders nor a specific amount offer. The
contractor will not be required to perform work under this work order
where the value of work in any one building is less than $500.00.
Offerors will be required to submit one (1) ``Multiplier'' to be
applied to the various Unit Prices established in the Unit Price
Schedule. The Multiplier must contain the Offeror's overhead, profit,
bonds, insurance and all other contingencies. No allowance for such
items will be made after Contract Award. Offers are due by 5:00 P.M.,
Thursday, August 24, 1995. The package will be available by July 24,
1995 at a cost of $35.00 per package, non-refundable. Make checks/money
orders payable to: Disbursing Officer, U.S. Postal Service, referencing

Offers will not be publicly opened. The number of offers received, the
identity of the offerors, the amount of any one offer, or relative
standing of the offer will not be disclosed to anyone except those
postal personnel whose official duties require such information until
