Ponce, Contracting Officer, (505) 784-2888. This solicitation is for Repair Transient Quarters, Bldg 1816, Project No. 89-0028 at Cannon AFB, New Mexico. Project includes the renovation of transitent quarters to include demolition of partitions and ceilings, kitchen cabinets and appliances, cermaic wall, VCT floor tile, carpet doors and saw cutting and trenching of existing floor slabs. All bedroom closets and windows will be replaced. Old chiller shall be removed and new chilled/how water distribution system and the boiler shall be modified to include make-up water piping, expansion tanks with associated piping and valves. This project includes plumbing and electrical work. There are two Option items. The magnitude of this project is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. The performance time for this project is 280 calendar days. The proposed contract listed here is being considered for 100% set-aside for small disadvantaged business (SDB) concerns. Interested SDB concerns that meet this criteria who wish to be considered in accordance with Public Law and Federal Acquisition Regulations should, as early as possible, but not later than 15 days of this notice, indicate interest by providing to the Contracting Officer evidence of capability to perform (including references for similar work with points of contact, telephone numbers and contract numbers), letter from bonding company certifying maximum level of bonding for the proposed project, affirmative statement requesting set-aside action and INTENT TO BID, a positive statement of eligibility as a small, socially and economically disadvantaged business concern and a NONREFUNDABLE check of $42.00 made payable to the Treasurer of the United States for the solicitation package. EVEN IF YOU HAVE SENT EVIDENCE OF SDB ELIGIBILITY ON A PRIOR SOLICITATION, YOU MUST SUBMIT DOCUMENTATION THAT WILL BECOME A PART OF THIS SOLICITATION FILE. If adquate interest is not received from SDB concerns within 15 days of this notice, this solicitation will be issued on an unrestricted basis without further notice. Therefore, replies to this notice are requested from all business concerns as well as from SDB concerns. Firms should indicate whether they are women owned, small, or large business concerns. Also firms should state if they are interested as a prime contractor or as a subcontractor. IFB will be issued on or about 10 Aug 95. Site Visit is scheduled for 24 Aug 95. Bid Opening is set for 11 Sep 95. There will be nonrefundable charge of $42.00 for this solicitation. Checks shall be made payable to the Treasurer of the United States and must be included in your request for this solicitation. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered.
