Ponce, Contracting Officer, (505) 784-2888. This solicitation is for Alter/Repair Transportation Facility, Project No. 86-0047 A&B at Cannon AFB, New Mexico. Project 86-0047A, Repair work includes the removal and replacement of ceiling, lights, carpet on upper floor, paneling, wainscot and vinyl wall fabric, wall switches, electrical outlets, window units, fire exit door and repair stair landing. Work also includes upgrade of lighting, repair of exterior insulation system, upgrade tire storage area with motorized door and roof exhaust, repair first floor HVAC, provide heat detectors in offices, extend second floor to wood deck, level floors between offices, refinish entire first floor and modify existing second floor HVAC system. Project 86-0047B, Alter work includes demolition of interior walls, renovate men's bathroom and provide women's facility, provide new fire extinguisher cabinets, provide for new battery shop, provide rain getter/down spout system and provide wet pipe sprinkler system. Magnitude of this project is between $250,000 and $500,000. Performance time s 210 calendar days. The proposed contract listed here is being considered for 100% set-aside for small disadvantaged business (SDB) concerns. Interested SDB concerns that meet this criteria who wish to be considered in accordance with Public Law and Federal Acquisition Regulations should, as early as possible, but not later than 15 days of this notice, indicate interest by providing to the Contracting Officer evidence of capability to perform (including references for similar work with points of contact, telephone numbers and contract numbers), letter from bonding company certifying maximum level of bonding for the proposed project, affirmative statement requesting set-aside action and intent to bid, a positive statement of eligibility as a small socially and economically disadvantaged business concern and a nonrefundable check of $50.00 made payable to the Treasurer of the United States for the solicitation package. Even if you have sent evidence of SDB eligibility on a prior solicitation, you must submit documentation that will becme a part of this solicitation file. If adequate interest is not received from SDB concerns within 15 days of this notice, this solicitaton will be issued on an unrestricted basis without further notice. Therefore, replies to this notice are requested from all business concerns as well as from SDB concerns. Firms should indicate whether they are women owned, small, or large business concerns. Also firms should state if they are interested as a prime contractor or as a subcontractor. IFB will be issued on or about 8 Aug 95. Site visit is scheduled for 21 Aug 95. Bid Opening is set for 8 Sep 95. There will be nonrefundable charge of $50.00 for this solicitation. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered.
