Base Closure KC-135 Interim (B/1169)-This project includes furnishing all labor, equipment, materials, and performance of all operations necessary to construct a 6,000 SF addition to Building 1169 located at McConnell AFB, Kansas. Work includes, but is not limited to, clearing and grubbing, concrete foundations, CMU walls, exterior insulation finishing system, standing seam metal roof, joists, structural steel, metal stud with sheetrock partitions, electrical conduit, wiring, lighting, telephone wiring, plumbing, HVAC system, fire sprinkler system and fire alarm system, and any miscellaneous work as necessary to complete the project. Magnitude of construction is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Anticipated issuance date for IFB Solicitation Number F14614-95-B0040 is 21 Aug 95. Tentative opening date is 20 Sep 95. Performance period will be 180 calendar days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed. Standard Classification Code is 1541. This action is being considered for 100% set-asides for Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB) cocerns. Interested SDB concerns should notify our office, in writing, of their intention to bid on the project as a prime contractor as early as possible but no later than 15 calendar days of this notice. The notification must include a positive statement of eligibility as a small socially and economically disadvantaged business concern, evidence of capacity to obtain required bonds, and specific information which demonstrates the capability to perform projects of this complexity and magnitude. Complete information concerning management experience in similar work and financial status should be submitted with references. If adequate interest is not received from SDB concerns, the solicitation will be issued on an unrestricted basis without further notice. Therefore, replies to this office are still requested from all interested business concerns as well as from Small Disadvantaged Business concerns. Project requirements will be made available on or about 21 Aug 95. No telephone requests for bid sets will be honored. All requests for bid sets must be in writing.
