Z -- BLDG. 331 MODIFICATIONS AND ELECTRICAL UPGRADE SOL EMV-95-B-0363 POC Mrs. SANDI NIXON, CONTRACT SPECIALIST, 703/542-2303 The work efforts for Bldg. 331 Modifications and Electrical Upgrade project consist of: (i) Demolition Work - Remove existing electrical components (i.e., lights, boxes, conduits, etc.) except wire trough in existing generator bldg. Remove and store existing fire alarm devices and battery charger for reinstallation. Remove cement asbestos ceiling and galbestos metal roof. Remove and dispose of asbestos materials. Remove wood framing around double door and louver and remove/store double door and louver for reinstallation. Remove all overhead electrical and communication distribution system servicing bldg. (ii) Electrical Work - Provide and install new pad mounted transformer, automatic transfer switch, circuit breakers, circuit panel, lights, conduits and conductors in bldg. Reinstall fire alarm devices and battery charger in bldg. Excavate, provide, and install underground electrical and communications conduits and conductors servicing bldg and five other nearby bldgs. (iii) Architectural Work - Provide and install new masonry to raise bldg walls height and provide/install new masonry around the double door and louver. Provide/install new 6'' engineered precast concrete roof slab and provide/install new concrete precast header above double door and louver. Provide/install new EPDM roof. Estimated construction range is between $100,000 and $250,000. Work to be performed at FEMA, Mt. Weather Emergency Assistance Center, State Route 601, Loudoun County, Berryville, VA. Firm- Fixed-Price Construction Type contract anticipated, subject to the availability of Fiscal Year 95 funds. EMV-95-B-0363 to be issued O/A 8/3/95 w/opening date approx. 30 days thereafter. Prebid conference and site visit will be scheduled, specific date/time to be specified in bid package. Period of performance will be 300 calendar days from receipt of Notice to Proceed.
