The proposed project is a 100-percent set-aside for small disadvantaged business concerns (SDB). The work consists of replacing a section of water main in the 300 Area of Shafter Flats. The work includes trenching, replacement of water lines, hydrants, manholes, valves, and asphalt replacement. The estimated cost of the proposed project is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00. NOTICE TO BIDDERS: This project is being set-aside as an SBA Section 8(a) sole-source procurement, but due to time and funding constraints it is hereby being issued concurrently as an IFB, while negotiating with an 8(a) firm. Only in the event where negotiations fail will we use the IFB process to award this solicitation, therefore, if negotiations are successful, this IFB will be cancelled.
