This synopsis is issued for the benefit of prospective subcontractors. This synopsis is to provide notification of those bidders that provided acceptable proposals under step-one of the Federal Aviation Administration's requirements for National Engine Generator Replacement Project, Request for Technical Proposals issued December 2, l994, under Request for Technical Proposal Number DTFA-02-94-B-40061. This acquisition is being processed in accordance with FAR 14.5 TWO-STEP BIDDING procedures. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has completed Step-one review of the technical proposals received and is announcing under Step-two the bidders providing acceptable technical proposals. The bidders listed herein will be provided copies of the STEP-TWO Invitation to Bid and only bids from these three sources will be accepted for possible award. Acceptable technical proposals were received from Caterpillar Incorporated, Defense & Federal Product (TC-A), P.O. Box 470, Mossville, Illinois 61552; Kohler Company, Generator Division, 444 Highland Drive, Kohler, Wisconsin 53044; and Onan Corporation, 1400 73rd Avenue N.E., Minneapolis, Minnesota 55432. All questions shall be in writing (or FAX (405) 954-3111) to FAA, NAS Acquisition Division, Contracting Team, AMQ-210, 6500 South MacArthur Boulevard, P.O. Box 25082, Oklahoma City, OK 73125-4931, ATTN: Contracting Officer/EGS/CO94. Verbal request for information will not be provided. In addition, any contract awarded as a result of this solicitation shall include FAR Clause 52.217-8, Option to Extend Services and FAR Clause 52.217-9, Option to Extend the Term of the Contract. All bidders will be required to submit a subcontracting Plan in accordance with Public Law 95-507 during step-two. The requirement will be for a 1-year base period with options to extend the contract period for four additional 1-year periods. Each Package Group's CLIN's shall be proposed as all or none, the individual Package Groups SHALL NOT be split. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code for this acquisition is 3621. (0207)
