D -- EXPANSION OF COMMUNICATION CONTROL SYSTEM SOL Sol. No. 7-95-R24 DUE 090495 POC Contact Point, Cecilia Rogers, Procurement Technician 503/447-9534 The Ochoco National Forest will be expanding the existing Zetron 4024 Communications Control System to access 10 radio channels and 3 console positions. The present system has 4 console positions that access 13 radio channels. The enlarged system must be capable of handling a total of 7 console positions and 24 radio channels. It is the Forest's intent to purchase from Zetron, the communication equipment required because we know of no one who manufactures equipment that will interface or is compatible, directly to a Zetron system. The new radio channel interface cards and console interface cards must plug directly into a Zetron 4024 Common Control unit. The existing 4024 Common Control unit is required to interface with another Common Control unit or like to allow for the expansion. All radio channels must appear on 3 of the existing consoles and 2 of the new console positions and allow for crossmuting and simulcasting on 2 or more channels from any position. The new console positions need to allow for crossmuting between themselves and the existing console positions. This solicitation is for other than full and open competition.
