NAWCAD detachment Key West supports testing of devices and concepts; having boats from 192 ft. research vessels to Boston Whalers. Work will encompass scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, operation, repair, control, inspection, and upkeep of Gov. facilities, vessels, and equipment; plus technical, logistic, and operational support of projects. Contractor capabilities should include technical expertise in such areas as sonobuoy test, data analysis, installation, repair, and retrieval of in-water arrays; cable installation; design, and fabrication of special purpose deck equipment and instrumentation; marine survey; shipboard electronic, and mechanical modifications to accommodate complex laboratory equipment. Two task areas of the Statement of Work, Facilities cleaning and Inventory Control, will be set-aside for Small Disadvantaged Business performance.
