The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWD), China Lake, CA is planning to purchase interior and exterior communication terminals, jackboxes, and cables to expand a voice system to include addional radar installations. The purchase will be on a sole source contract with Denro, Inc. of Gaithersburg, MD. The voice intercom system is part of thr range communications system manufactured by Denro, Inc. The Denro 400 switch system uses a unique and proprietary addressing protocol between the switch and the terminal consoles. The additional interior communications terminals and support equipment must interface directly with the existing system in the Control Center and existing radar sites. The purchase description for the communication terminals and support equipment is: (1) Interior Communication Terminal (ICT), Model 110522-001, rack mountable in 19'' rack, equipped for a 8 wire interface cable (2 RX voice, two TX voice, and 4 control lines) capable of direct interface with a Denro Exteior Communciation Terminal (ECT), and 4 selectable channels per terminal. Each channel will have the capability of selecting monitor only or monitor and talk configuration. Each position will be equipped with a speaker and will be capable of responding to ''safety override broadcast'' initiated from the Denro 400 switching system. The ICT must be capable of direct interface with ICT Jack box. P/N 110522-001, 3 ea. (2) Ict Jackbox, Model 110523-001, capable of direc interface with a Denro ICT. Each Jackbox must support four individual jacks for hadnset push-to-talk operation. The jackbox will be rack-mounted in 19'' racks as part of Ict. The jackbox must provide direct support for a DEnro ECT P/N 610545-001, 3 ea. (3) Jackbox Interface Cable, Model 610545-001, must provide direct interface between Denro jackbox and ICT. (4) Exterior Communication Terminal, Model 110524-001, must provide direct interface with Denro ICT, internal power supply to convert 115 VAC to +24 VDC, housed in a weatherproof enclosure designed to withstand extreme weather and environmental conditions, P/N 110524-001, 3 ea.
