GREENE (210) 221-3805 (Site Code DAKF49) This action is a notice of intent to negotiate a sole source contract with Chatsworth Data Corporation, 20710 Lassen Street, Chatsworth, CA 91311, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, for Optical Mark Scanners. The requirement is for ninety-nine (99) Chatsworth Model 9002 Optical Mark Readers to upgrade existing Chatsworth hardware. The Optical Mark Scanners must be compatible with the existing Health Risk Appraisal (HRA) Software system and DoD cards, weigh no more than 10 pounds, be dual sided and manually fed for the PC, allow marks to be preprinted or made by a standard #2 pencil, be able to transmit information to a PC over a standard RS-232C, full duplex at 1200 to 9600 baud communication interface, allow output data mode to be modified column by column and provide a output card stacker that can handle upto forty forms, have a scanning area of a minimum 12 rows by 99 columns (both sides), have column and row spacings which are changeable with a minimum of at least .03 inches for the column spacing and .0250 inches for the row spacing, have transport speed of at least 23 inches per second, have electrical power of 110 VAC, 60 Hz, 20 watts for CONUS; 220 VAC, 50 Hz, 20 watts for OCONUS, and have output modes with at least Hollerith to ASCII, Binary to ASCII, and Programmable (down loadable).
